✂ Artist Residency at Gibraltar Point

During my residency at Gibraltar Point, I began developing the Queer Ecology Archive.

Over the course of the residency, I facilitated a series of community zine-making workshops that invited participants to reflect on their relationships to land, identity, and belonging. These workshops became a space for storytelling, experimentation, and connection, where contributions ranged from personal narratives to visual art, poetry, and ecological reflections. Through this process, the archive started to take shape as both a creative and relational vessel, one that holds the layered experiences of queer people engaging with the natural world.

The residency brought together artists from across the globe, creating a dynamic and collaborative environment. Working alongside this cohort allowed for rich exchanges of ideas, practices, and perspectives. Together, we explored how art can respond to and intervene in the climate crisis, while also nurturing care, imagination, and alternative ways of relating to the environment.

Throughout the program, I participated in a range of workshops and discussions focused on the intersection of art and environmental action. These experiences deepened my understanding of how creative practices can function as tools for resistance, healing, and community-building in the face of ecological uncertainty.
