Join us for a 2-hour hike in Jackson Park where we explore the queerness of the world around us. These hikes are activity-based!

We are excited to offer a queer ecology hike again for this pride, inviting community members to come connect, share, and learn. A queer ecology hike is a space of collective storytelling, it is an opportunity for us to see our connection to the land around us.

Queer ecology understands queer as a verb, an action, and tool for resistance to systems of oppression.

This hike will run two hours, and in Peterborough take place in Jackson Park. The aim of these hikes is recalling, stories, and land-based learning.

The hike is buffet style which means people can show up as they are and take what they want, and leave what they don't want. This space of consent extends beyond our relationships and is a spark for conversations about how we interact with consent to the land.

This hike will be mostly along the main trail (crushed gravel) and we will be hiking about 2-3km in 2 hours.
